Simple breakfast sandwich

During the week our house is busy busy, especially during the mornings. For us, it works best to have a quick, healthy breakfast available. I often prep pancakes on Sunday along with egg muffins and turkey sausage, but lately, I've been making these breakfast sandwiches and freezing them for easy grab and go during the week. 

Bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches! When I was younger this was my favorite breakfast meal to order from the Golden Arches. It feels great knowing I can make a healthier version for myself and family. 
There isn't really anything special to making them. I used organic free range brown eggs, nitrate free bacon, organic cheese and an organic spelt English muffin from Rudi's. Absolutely delicious! I make them, wrap them in wax paper and freeze. At night I'll take however many out of the freezer and put them in the fridge for the next morning. In the mornings, I either stick them in the microwave or in the oven for a few to heat them up.

Healthy Eating: Pantry and Fridge Staples

I definitely find it easier to stay on track and make healthy choices when the food in my house is a reflection of my goals. Here is a sample of my grocery list staples for my family

sweet potatoes
fruit (this varies depending on the week but usually strawberries, blueberries, mangos and apples)
veggies (again this varies also but usually spinach, kale, onion, carrots, red onions, red cabbage, salad greens, broccoli, cauliflower etc)

Hello beautiful people!
As you can see I haven't posted in awhile, life just gets super busy sometimes. That's one reason. The main reason is that I've been conflicted on what to post. In short, it felt like all I could post on this site was about makeup and hauls etc, restrictions I put on myself. While I love makeup and beauty, it has definitely taken a backseat to fitness. As I have discovered, fitness is truly my passion. I contemplated creating an entirely new blog just dedicated to my love of fitness but honestly I didn't feel like it for one, and two I love what I have created here. So with that I plan to post more of my fitness and food journey on GG while still posting about makeup and beauty. I am also looking into personal trainer programs and will share my journey here as well. Sarai

Updated: My favorite lipsticks

Awhile back I did a post on some of my favorite lippies (read that here and here )...I thought it would be fun to do an updated post with my current favorites.

MAC Rebel- As soon as fall hit I wore this color pretty much everyday last year. I love it to death. It's such a pretty satin plum. It's absolutely perfect. I like to pair this with MAC Vino liner.

MAC Modesty - This is very pretty pink. I wear this when I don't quite want a nude but don't want a bold color either. It gives just enough color. I like to pair this with MAC Plum liner.

NYX Butter lipstick in Mauve- If you follow me on Instagram, I posted about this a few days ago. I love this lipstick and plan to get a few more colors soon. It really is like butter, the color is very pretty and similar to the modesty but I really like the buttery feel of this more. I like to pair this with MAC Plum liner.

NYX Monte Carlo- This is a beautiful matte red that last all day and isn't drying. I usually shy away from matte colors as my lips always feel like they are peeling because they are so dry after a few hours. I don't get that with this color at all. I like to pair this with MAC Cherry liner.

MAC Fresh Brew - my favorite nude ever! I like to pair this with MAC Cork or any brown liner within reach. And really that should say ANY liner (except cherry) because I've paired this with Vino, Current, Plum and plenty others and it always looks very nice.
